The Last Plan..

by - July 03, 2020

It's around 7 PM in the evening and you have just left the office after completing your pending work left due to the early leave you took yesterday. You called your roommate and told him that you have just left and would reach in 15 minutes. Your room is at a 15 minutes walking distance from your office. Suddenly, you hear something. A roar of thunder. You realise it's going rain soon so you try to walk fast taking long steps. You feel the speed of wind increasing as you take more steps further. You are praying inside your mind for the rain to hold on for a couple of minutes till you reach home, but looking at the clouds you feel the other way.
Just a few steps more and the mighty showers start falling down. No, you can't run further now. You have some important documents to protect inside your old bag. "There's some shelter over there", you say to yourself. That bag of yours, it won't withstand that much power of the rain. "I should've brought an umbrella", you said to yourself frustrated. "or I should have completed my work a bit early". You're tired of course, working since 8 in the morning, hungry because you had your lunch at 1 in the afternoon. Frustrated because. Because what ? Have you got an umbrella ? I think not. You would've been home if you had. Any other options ? Yes, you do have one.

You know sometimes in life we are stuck somewhere just like you, standing under that shed with rain falling heavily. You think about what you could do but can't do for some reasons, that lead you to blaming yourself, for taking some decisions and for not taking some. And you're stuck not knowing what to do and get stressed out. We are stuck with are sorrows, pains, breakdowns, emotions and what not and get stressed for not able to do anything. We always have the second plan ready but it fails too, most of the time it does. But, my friend you still have a plan, a last one, when all the gates close. It's inside you, the key to the chest of solution. It's called patience.

It might rain for a couple of minutes, it might rain for hours. But, it would stop. Not now but eventually it would. Just have patience. Hold on a little more :)
